About the Role
This is a Generalist Human Resources role covering a wide range of Human Resources support and assistance across the organisation. the role will predominantly provide direct support to the human resources manager, as well as assisting other operational managers with the delivery of a diverse range of Human Resources Functions.
This position integrates and takes a key role in the Human Resources Department activities; working collaboratively across the organisation, across functions, departments and boundaries providing support wherever needed In the areas of Human Resources management, industrial relations, organisational improvement, and communications. You will be covering these areas whilst reporting directly to the Human Resources Manager.
This is a hands-on role that is generalist by nature, and which will include such responsibilities as a full range of administrative requirements, preparing electronic documents, assisting with the recruitment process across all sites, assisting with Enterprise Bargaining Negotiations with relevant Unions, assisting in resolving workplace disputes, improving current Human Resources systems, and working with payroll and finance teams to streamline transactional Human Resources activities. There are also a number of Human Resources projects to get involved in. A small degree of travel will also be required.
Skills & Experience required
With relevant Human Resources qualifications, and 3+ years’ experience in a Human Resources Generalist role, you will have sound knowledge of the industrial relations framework with proven experience resolving both day to day Industrial Relations and Human Resources matters. In addition, you will be adept at developing effective relationships, be an excellent communicator, a strong problem solver, and display a high level of computer literacy. Experience in cross-cultural relationships, and manufacturing or heavy industry environment is desirable for the position.
